Welcome!

The Friends of the High School for Leadership and Public Service is a group of dedicated Syracuse University alumni who serve as an advisory board to the school. We conduct fundraising throughout the year to augment the school's daily resources, provide scholarships to SU's summer college program, tuition for leadership camps, run our very successful mentoring program and much more. By tapping into the strong SU networks in NYC, The Friends are able to obtain equipment and provide services that enrich the experience at Leadership.

What's New

The Friends Welcome Their New President

Ruth Schlesinger Sherman has been selected as the new President of the Friends of Leadership. Ruth is a Syracuse University alumna, whose career spans government service and private legal practice, as well as public service and community involvement. She formerly tutored Leadership students after school, and joined the Friends' Board in 2006. We wish her the best of luck!

Leadership Students Attend Summer College

Five students of the High School for Leadership and Public Service attended Summer College at Syracuse University in July. There was one student in Fashion, one in Law, one in Engineering and two in Liberal Arts.
